Takelia Carter

Takelia Carter is the principal of Eickenroht Elementary School. Most recently, she served as assistant principal at Eickenroht, where she demonstrated strong leadership and a dedication to academic excellence. Prior to joining Spring ISD, Carter served as principal in Blytheville School District in Arkansas for grades K–2. In that role, she led a staff of 60, implemented new curricula, supported teacher licensure, and oversaw the school improvement plan. She also previously served as an assistant principal in the Marion School District and spent six years as a classroom teacher in the West Memphis School District. Carter holds a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership and is currently pursuing a Doctorate in Educational Leadership from Arkansas State University.

The Spring Independent School District serves over 34,000 prekindergarten through 12th-grade students in a diverse district located 20 miles north of central Houston. From high-quality early childhood programs to college preparation courses and career pathway exploration, there are programs and services designed to meet the needs of every Spring ISD student.
