How does the selection process work once students have submitted an application and the window closes?
Phase I – Grades, discipline, and attendance records for the last school year will be reviewed for all applicants. In order to advance to the “Interview” portion of the admission process, applicants must submit all listed documents for review.  Students not submitting the documents for review may not be eligible for further admission consideration.

Phase II – All qualified applicants must participate in an admission interview. The interview portion will include a panel interview and a short written essay. The interview information collected will be used in the consideration of interventions/enrichment needed for students selected in the lottery

Phase III – All students that complete Phase I and II will be considered for the lottery, while those who fail to complete the submission of information may not be considered for further admission consideration. All qualifying students will advance and be selected via random lottery. The student’s status will be communicated immediately using your email address in the application.

All qualified students who advance from the lottery will be assigned a selection number. There are a limited number of seats for incoming freshman students. Based on the number of seats available, the student may be placed on the waiting list according to their randomly assigned selection order.

Once the lottery closes, what are the next steps in the selection process?
After the lottery window closes, parents will be required to notify the campus of the student’s intent to attend the selected campus. A calendar of required events will be provided to newly accepted students. All newly accepted students and parents must participate in a mandatory parent meeting that will be scheduled before the end of the current school year. Students will also be required to attend Summer Bridge and Alpha Academy along with assigned summer reading activities.
