Bailey Middle School

To establish a Middle School of the Performing and Visual Arts that serves a dual-purpose focusing on arts and academics within a comprehensive middle school structure. Students will participate in rigorous Pre-AP core academic classes while exploring and developing skills/concentrations in the areas of dance, drama, instructional music, vocal music, film/media, fine arts, music technology and creative writing.

Sarahdia Johnson is the principal of Bailey Middle School. She most recently served as principal of Hoyland Elementary school, where she was recognized as the 2024-2025 Elementary Principal of the Year for her leadership in improving student attendance, academic growth and school culture. Before her principal role, Johnson held positions in Spring ISD and Humble ISD, including Digital Learning-Literacy/Math Instructional Coach and assistant principal. Johnson holds a Master’s degree in Exceptional Student Education from Nova Southeastern University and a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science/Secondary Education from the University of Miami.
